Mrs. C. A. Allen died at her home in Des Moines last week and was buried in the Elm Grove cemetery in this county last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Allen moved from Winterset about a year ago. Her health has been very poor for several years.

She leaves a husband and three children, six, nine and twelve.

Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Martin drove over and attended the funeral, the latter being a sister of Mrs. Allen.

DIED

ALLEN – Mrs. Martha Allen, wife of Cary Allen, died at the family residence 1616 Walnut street, yesterday morning at 10 o’clock of tuberculosis.

She was 38 years of age.

Her body will be taken to Peru this morning on the 11:50 Great Western train.

Services will be held at the residence by Dr. Hagerman at 10 o’clock this morning.

She leaves a husband and three children.
