Page 1Death of Former Winterset Lady
Mrs. Clara Pitzer Malcolm, wife of Rev. J. H. Malcolm, died Saturday Oct. 31st, at the Markleton Sanitarium near Pittsburg, Pa. The funeral services were held at Washington, Pa., Sunday, Nov. 1st and the remains were interred at Cadiz, Ohio, the old home of Mr. Malcolm.
Clara Pitzer was born in Winterset May 1st, 1857, and was married to Rev. J. H. Malcolm in December 1879. She leaves her husband and two children, Howard, twenty-two years of age and Mary, nineteen. The present survivors of Judge Pitzer’s family who were known here are his aged wife, one daughter, Mrs. J. S. McCaughan, and three sons, William, Marsh and J. L.
