On Tuesday Feb. 10th, occurred the death of Bessie E. Law at the home of her parents in south St. Charles. For more than a year she has been a great sufferer from a tumorous growth in the head, yet with patience and fortitude she bore up during the long days of her illness. She was born in Warren county Jan. 13, 1881. For several years she resided with her parents in St. Charles and graduated from our schools in the class of ’99.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Proudfit of the Presbyterian church of which she was a faithful member. Interment was made in the Odd Fellows cemetery at Indianola on Thursday. Many beautiful floral tributes were upon her casket, showing the degree of love and esteem in which she was held. The parents and family have the heartfelt sympathy of our people in their hour of bereavement.
