J. MICHAEL SEARS, St. Charles

J. Michael Sears, 60, was born March 31, 1949 in Hoisington, Kansas, the son of Oliver and June (Alderson) Sears. He passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family Monday, December 7, 2009. Mike recently retired from Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center after many years of dedicated service.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Linda Sears of St. Charles; son, Joshua (Rachel) Sears of Chicago, Illinois; daughter, Erin (Jason) Auer- Sears of Iowa City; grandchildren, Ella, Luna and Griffin Auer-Sears of Iowa City; brother, Jerry (Dorothy) Sears of Liberty, Missouri; other loving relatives and many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
