Miss Lizzie Pickens, a young lady graduate of the St. Charles high school, whose home has temporarily been in Indianola for a couple of years where her four brothers are finishing courses at the Simpson College, died in Des Moines on last Tuesday night after under going a surgical operation for a serious kidney infection. Her remains were brought to this city on Wednesday and funeral held from the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Powers, service in the United Presbyterian church conducted by her pastor, Rev. M. Smith of Indianola in absence of Proudfit who was in attendance at the Presbytery of his ------ being held in Tarkio, Mo.

Note: Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
