Services for Mrs. Marshall Thompson who died Friday at her home in Macksburg, were held Sunday at the Methodist church in Macksburg conducted by the Rev. Myrtle Wolf assisted by the Rev. E. B. Osborn. Burial was in the Moon Cemetery. Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Miller of Anita; Mrs. Cora Selker of St. Louis, Missouri; Mrs. Don Spiker and Mrs. Berl Garnet of Menlo.

Page 4, Column 3MACKSBURG WOMAN DIES AT SIXTY-FIVE
Minta Alice Welch, daughter of Thomas and Sarah Welch, was born in Warren county, Illinois, October 19, 1866. Departed this life August 19, 1932, age 65. In 1877 she moved with her parents to Cass county later moving to Adams county, then Creston where most of her girlhood was spent.
On January 5, 1887 she was married to Marshal Thompson, making their home in Creston until 1894, moving then to a farm in Dodge township. After seven years they moved to Macksburg and have resided here ever since. She united with the Methodist church in Macksburg in 1917.
Her first thoughts were of her home and family, and she leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, two sons, J. C. of Macksburg, Loren of Winterset, five grandchildren, two brothers, Albert of Macksburg, Edward of Pittsburgh, a sister, Mrs. Anna Gose of Sanatonia, Texas, and one sister, Lora having preceded her in death fifteen years ago, besides these, a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral service was held in the Methodist church in Macksburg August 21, 1932, at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by the Rev. Myrtle Wolfe of Lorimor. Interment made in the Macksburg cemetery.
