Rachel Fluver, Madison County, Iowa

J. Fluver, Madison County, Iowa
__________________________________________________

Coordinator's note: What is given here is all the information available regarding these deaths. It is unknown whether the deceased was from Madison County and died on the trail to the west or died while passing through Madison County. "The season" referred to was usually April to October so it is assumed that the death occurred in the 1852 season but has not been verified. There are no "Fluvers" in any records pertaining to Madison County. If they perished while passing through Madison County, then a burial with a wooden cross or field stone marking the grave would have been common practice and those grave markers would be long since gone.
