REID -- In Fresno, October 23, 1938, Rose Reid, a native of Iowa, aged 62 years. Loving mother of J. Maurice Reid, Carroll Reid of Salinas, Calif., C. S. Reid of Fresno, Calif.; loving grandmother of Donald Reid, Kenneth Reid of Salinas and Evelyn Rose Reid of Fresno; loving niece of E. S. Stout of Fresno.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral services to be held in the chapel of the Lisle Funeral Home, L and Calaveras Streets, on Tuesday afternoon, October 25, 1938, at two o'clock. Rev. C. S. Reynolds officiating.

Interment Belmont Memorial Park. (Fresno, Calif.)

Transcriber's note: Rose and her family lived in Madison County until the 1920's. She was born in Madison County on Dec. 25, 1876 to Thomas Wm. and Isabel (Stout) Simmons.

Mrs. Rose Simmons Reid Died in California Last Week

Relatives here received a telegram Monday of last week telling of the death of Mrs. Rose Simmons Reid, 61, at Fresno, Cal., but the details of her death are not known at this time. Mrs. Reid had spent her entire life here until she moved to Fresno several years ago. She is survived by three sons, Clarence, Maurice and Carroll and some grandchildren all of California.
