TERRY BRANT, St Charles

Terry Dean Brant, 51, of St. Charles died Nov. 6, 2009, at his home.

Funeral services were held today (Wednesday, Nov. 11) at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial was at New Virginia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to his family for a tribute to be decided at a later date. Condolences may be made to the family at www.kalefuneralhome.com.

Terry Brant was born Oct. 3, 1958, in Osceola to Gordon Dean and Twila Rae (Terry) Brant. He received his education from Interstate 35 Community Schools, graduating in 1977. His marriage to Debra Jane Kohrs took place Nov. 13, 1976, at the Truro Congregational United Church of Christ. Terry worked as a Master Electrician for Mike Hammer Electric in Des Moines. He also was a member of North American Hunting Club and N.R.A. and was involved with the Turkey Federation.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Brant, and his grandparents, Bernice Brant, William Brant and Burdette Terry.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie, of St. Charles; one son, Travis Brant of Osceola; one daughter, Tonya Kain of St. Charles; his parents, Dean and Twila Brant of Creston; two sisters, Sherri Long of Johnston and Tami Adamson of Creston; his grandmother, Eunice Terry of Creston; and one granddaughter.
