Miss Francis Eldridge died at her home in South township on Friday evening, February 20th at 9 o’clock, at the age of 35 years. The funeral occurred from the house Sunday, conducted by Rev. Williams of Winterset after which she was laid to rest in the Union Chapel cemetery. Miss Eldridge has lived in South township for a number of years and was beloved by all who knew her. The mother, brother and sisters have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.

Francis Eldridge died of cancer last Friday at her home near Union Chapel. The sympathy of a host of friends and neighbors goes out to the bereaved ones.
