Mylie Frances (Anderson) Ellis

Services for Mrs. Mylie F. Ellis, 86, 425 N. Aydelotte, will be at 2 p.m., today, in Roesch Brothers Chapel. Rev. Burrel J. McNaught, pastor of Wesley Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Ellis died Sunday afternoon in a local hospital.

Born October 15, 1880, in Madison County, Iowa, she came to Oklahoma as a young girl with her parents and they settled near Carney. She married Claiborn W. Ellis, April 2, 1905, at Carney and they moved to Shawnee that year. She has resided at her present address for 47 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Her husband, a retired Rock Island engineer, died June 19, 1965.

Mrs. Ellis was a longtime active member of the Wesley Methodist Church, the WSCS and Eastern Star, Chapter No. 43.

She is survived by one daughter, Inez Ellis, of the home; two sons, Donald Ellis, San Antonio, Tex., Lauren A. Ellis, Lawton; four grandchildren, Claiborn, Robert, and Nathan Ellis, Lawton, Mrs. J. Kyle Farquhar, San Antonio, Tex.; one brother, Roy N. Anderson, Palo Alto, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. J. E. Sulgrove, Springdale, Wash.

Bearers will be George Southgate, J. J. Criss, J. A. King, Curt Byers, Jim Griffith and N. A. Lale.
