Page 1Word was received in the city, Tuesday that Mrs. Marie Lyons Joy, of Marshalltown, died Monday morning at Waterloo, where she had been making a temporary stay. Particulars were not given.
The news will be particularly sad to her many friends and acquaintances in Winterset, where she spent so many years, and from which she so recently removed.

Mrs. Hollis Joy died Monday forenoon, May 19th, at the Emergency Hospital at Waterloo, of uremic poisoning.
Mrs. Joy will be remembered here as Miss Marie Lyons who was married a year ago to the well known traveling man, Hollis C. Joy.
The husband and a baby boy eleven weeks old survive.
The remains were interred at Des Moines.
