On Thursday morning the 21st occurred the death of the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Johnson of croup. The funeral was held on Friday at the Drake school house, after which the remains were followed by sympathizing friends to the Wight cemetery for interment. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community.

Coordinator's note: The youngest son of F. M. Johnson was Jimmie, born in 1898. It appears that the date of death does not agree with the tombstone although the tombstone is hard to read.
