A Pioneer Gone

Mrs. Elizabeth Danner died at her residence in the west part of the city Tuesday. She was born in Virginia in 1813. Her maiden name was Napler.

She married Michael Danner, August 1849 and they came to Madison county and settled in the Drake neighborhood. Mr. Danner died about thirty years ago.

She leaves several children, Mrs. D. G. Ratliff, Mrs. James Kendig, Mrs. L. Williams, and two unmarried daughters, Annis and Jennie, all of this place, and Mrs. Isabel Moore of Minnesota, J. M. Danner, of Salt Lake, Utah, and Michael E. Danner, of Donovan, Mo.

The funeral services were held yesterday afternoon from the residence, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Veatch of the Church of Christ.

Of her personal life further than these particulars we know but little, but when we have heard her name spoken it has always been in terms of respect and warm appreciation.
