LLOYD E. McMAINS, of Lorimor Dies

Lloyd E. McMains, father of Luther McMains of Winterset, died July 4, 1947, at his home in Lorimor at the age of 66 years.

Mr. McMains was born in Madison county Oct. 27, 1880. He was married February 12, 1907, to Miss Anna Russell, and they were the parents of seven children. Most of his life was spent in Madison and Union counties.

Surviving are his wife; five sons, Arthur of Litchfield, Minn., Luther of Winterset, Richard of Rapid City, S. Dak., Marvin of Murray and Coker of Ft. Morgan, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Harriet Hutchinson of Murray and Mrs. Doris Wheeler of Lorimor; two brothers; Aetna L. of Lorimor and Arlie R., of West Des Moines; and a sister, Mrs Fern Rogers of Lorimor.

He was a member of the Kasson Methodist church, the Odd Fellows lodge of Murray, and the Woodmen's lodge at Lorimor.

Funeral services were held July 7, from the Lorimor Methodist church in charge of the Rev. C. A. Calkins. Burial was made in the cemetery there
