MRS. TOM "NELL" KELLEHER Dies in Des Moines

Mrs. Tom Kelleher, former Madison county resident, died at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines last Tuesday evening, July 8th, 1947, at the age of 53 years. Mrs. Kelleher, who had lived in Des Moines for the past ten years, suffered a severe heart attack two weeks ago, and she was taken to the hospital where her death occurred a few days later.

Mrs. Kelleher was the former Nell Cash, daughter of John and Mary Ellen Cash. She was born in Jasper county, but came with her parents to Warren county and they lived on a farm near Prole. She was married to Tom Kelleher in 1919, and they went to housekeeping on a farm, on the Madison county line road north of Bevington, where they resided until they moved to Des Moines.

Mr. and Mrs. Kelleher were the parents of 14 children. One child preceded the mother in death, and the father, Tom Kelleher, died in September, 1946. In addition to her thirteen children, Mrs. Kelleher, is survived by her brother, John Cash.

The Rev. Mr. Aspinwald conducted her funeral services at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Des Moines last Friday morning at nine o'clock and burial was made in St. Patrick's cemetery in Lee township. He was assisted by the Rev. J. J. Judge of Winterset and the Rev. Charles Phelan of St. Marys.
