St. CharlesMiss Della, the young lady daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Knott, three miles east of the city has been quite dangerously ill of a fever, but is reported as convalescing. Later.---Early on Monday morning the host of friends of the young lady and the family were discouraged to learn that she had become much worse and Drs. Sayre and Roberts who had been called to her home in the latter part of Sunday night reported her case to be entirely hopeless. About eight o’clock a.m. death released her from her suffering and took from her parents and friends a young lady of about nineteen years of age, a graduate of St. Charles High school class of 1901 already proving herself to be a successful teacher, an unusually bright, lovable, intelligent, Christian girl whose untimely death casts a pall over the hearts of all who had known her from infancy. Burial on Tuesday in St. Charles cemetery.
