Died, in the western part of the township, John Cain, an old and respectable citizen. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his loss.

Page 1, Column 4Mr. John Kane died Friday evening, Feb. 21. Blood poison caused his death, when he was thrown from his buggy the time his horses ran off which bruised his foot and blood poison set in.
He just couldn't give up to leave his family. The doctors told him he couldn't get well and some of Mr. Kanes' last words were that he just couldn't go and leave his family in such condition.
May the blessings of all rest on this family. His remains were laid away in Wight cemetery.
