Benjamin F. Blanchard of Winterset, long time resident of the Peru community, died Monday May 11, 1964, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 91 years of age.
Mr. Blanchard was a son of Orange and Elizabeth Shuler Blanchard. He was born near Peru on May 3, 1873, and spent most of his life in that area. His active life was spent in farming. He was a member of the Barney Church of Christ.
Mr. Blanchard never married. Nearest surviving relatives are a brother, Harmon Blanchard of Murray, and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Eva Blanchard of Murray and Mrs. Lydia Blanchard of Shannon City.
Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home comducted by the Rev. William E. Bowles. Burial is to be made in the Peru cemetery.
