Died - Jonathan Cox, one of Madison county's oldest citizens, died at his home north of town, last Wednesday morning of apoplexy.

Jonathan Cox, residing on North River on the De Soto road died Wednesday morning of apoplexy. Mr. Cox was one of the oldest settlers in the county and has lived many years on the farm on which he died. He has been in feeble health for a long time and death has been expected for months.

The funeral occurred Thursday.
