Services for Robert J. White, 67, rural Prole, who died June 5 at his residence, were held Fri., June 8, at the Patterson United Methodist Church with the Rev. Clarence and Rev. Zona Lautt officiating. Burial was at the Mount Pelier Cemetery.
born in Udell, Iowa on October 16, 1922, he was the son of Robert and Ada Morrison White. He worked for Northwestern Bell from 1946 to 1977 and was a member of the Northwestern Bell Pioneers organization.
On June 15, 1947, he was married to Vera Davis at Moulton. He was World War II merchant marine veteran and had lived the past 28 years in rural Prole, coming from Urbandale.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Bruce, David and wife, Debbie, all of Prole, and Marty and wife Darcy of Clive; sisters, Mrs. Norman Egli of Loveland, Calif., and Mrs. Wanda Underwood of West Des Moines; and three grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and two sisters.
