Word was received by friends in the county of the death of Albert Phillips, the son of J. S. Phillips, of Utica, Montana, who formerly lived in Jackson township. His death was caused by grip.
Albert W. Phillips was born in Madison county, Iowa, March 17, 1876. He went with his parents to Utica, Montana, when quite a small boy and has spent a greater part of his life there. He was a model young man and was highly esteemed by all who knew him.
Two years ago he went to California, Penn., to attend school. Since then he has graduated from the State Normal at that place, and had begun a course in the University at Morgantown, W. Va., which he had intended to continue as soon as his present duties as teacher in one of the graded schools in Pennsylvania was over.
