Middle River

Died Monday morning at his home one mile south of Middle River. Mr. Jacob Crow, he has been sick over a year with a cancer. He leaves a wife, five sons and two daughters to mourn their loss, they have our deepest sympathy.

Middle River

Mr. Jacob Crow died at his home on Dec. 13, 1909, aged 67 years, 8 months and 5 days. He had been afflicted for over a year. He leaves a wife and seven children and a host of friends to mourn his loss. The funeral services were held in the Methodist church at Webster conducted by Rev. Clearwater and the Masonic Lodge on Wednesday Dec. 15th. The remains were laid to rest in the Roberts cemetery.

Obituary

Jacob Franklin Crow was born in Washington county, Penn., April 8th, 1842. On the 23rd of Dec. 1862 he was married to Isabelle Durall. To this union were born seven children, all of whom are still living. In 1880 he moved with his family to Madison county, Iowa, where he has since made his home.

Mr. Crow was converted in 1892 and united with the M. E. church of Middle River. He passed away at his home on Dec 13th, 1909 at the age of 67 years. The funeral services were held at the Middle River church conducted by Rev. Clearwater, and interment made in the Roberts cemetary (sic).

The Masonic Order, of Winterset, had charge at the grave using their own beautiful impressive ceremony.
