Chas. Clague, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Clague, died at Clarinda on Sunday, August 11, 1901, from the effects of having been overcome with heat.

Two weeks ago last Tuesday he left for Minnesota in apparent good health, and after arriving there worked one day when it was noticed he acted strangely and his father was notified. After receiving the notice his father left at once but before his arrival there his son had become violent and he was taken at once to the hospital in Clarinda where he sank rapidly until he passed away on last Sunday.

He was a young man of much promise and his untimely death falls heavily on his parents. He was a member of the M.E. church at Worthington, and was an exemplary worker in the cause. He was twenty-two years old at the time of his death. His remains arrived here on Tuesday and the funeral service was held in the afternoon in the Worthington church conducted by the pastor, Rev. Weyrauch. The interment was in Worthington cemetery.
