Pg 1Obituary
Inez Maud Ballard was born in Henry county, Ill., December the 25th, 1866, and departed this life August 19, 1899. She was married to James H. King December 25, 1884. She united with the M. E. church at the age of fifteen, in which she retained fellowship until her death. She leaves a husband and two children, who, together with father, mother, a sister and two brothers, mourn her loss. She was a good mother, a faithful wife and an earnest Christian. She died in the full triumph of a living faith and has now entered upon her reward. While anxious to get well and remain with her family, she was resigned to her Master’s will and expressed herself ready to go when he called her.
Her funeral was preached by Rev. A. R. Miller, of Orient, and she was laid to rest by loving hands and sympathizing friends in the cemetery at Zion Hill.
