Miss Tillie Louden, of Webster township, died Monday evening July 3d. We have not learned the particulars of her sickness.

Page 2Miss Tillie J. Lowden died at the home of her father, in Webster township, Monday evening, July 3d and was buried yesterday. She had been in failing health for some time.

Tillie J. Lowden, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Lowden of Webster township was born in Clark county Iowa, August 12, 1858. At the age of two years she moved with her parents to Glasgow, Jefferson county Iowa where the family resided for five years moving from there to Madison county Iowa where he has lived many years until she died July 3rd, 1899.
She was exceedingly frail in body. United with Methodist church when eighteen years old, she found comfort in her blessed Redeemer during all the affliction that visited her. Cheerfulness was a characteristic of Tillie and her always pleasant disposition made her company agreeable and pleasant.
She leaves a father, mother, three brothers and one sister with other relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
Funeral services were held at the Webster Methodist church Wednesday 10 o’clock a.m., July 5th, conducted by Rev. Rusk, assisted by Rev. Wilkerson.
The church could not hold the people at her funeral, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Roberts cemetery.
