Leota Lull, 88, of Patterson died Aug. 11, 2009, at Winterset Care Center North.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 14, at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with the Rev. Dr. Beverlee Bell officiating. Burial was at Montpelier Cemetery, Patterson. Memorials may be directed to her family for a future designation.
Leota Lull was born Aug. 11, 1921, in Madison County to Bill and Maybel (Gentry) DeBok and was a 1939 graduate of Patterson High School. Her marriage to Loyde Lull took place Oct. 19, 1941, in Chillicothe, Mo. Leota, a lifetime resident of Madison County, had been a homemaker and farm wife. She attended the Patterson United Methodist Church and was a past 4-H leader.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Herbert DeBok, Hubert DeBok and infant twins, Loren and Guille; a sister, Mayola Wetzel; and a great-grandson, Ethan Livingston.
She is survived by two sons, Loyde Lull Jr. of Grimes and Russell Lull of West Des Moines; two daughters, Kathleen Livingston of Winterset and Linda Daniels of New Virginia; a sister, Leona Lyon of Van Meter; and 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
