Died August 19th, 1900, at noon James Clark after a lingering illness, aged 79 years, 7 months, and 9 days. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Thomas, the Dunkard minister of New Virginia assisted by Rev. Hall, in the Christian church. His remains were laid to rest by the side of his children in the Field’s cemetery. Uncle Jimmie was an honored and respected citizen and a good Christian gentleman. He leaves several grown up children and wife to mourn his loss.
