WILLIAM H. WILFONG

William Hunter Wilfong, son of Mr. And Mrs. Frank O. Wilfong, was born Jan. 29, 1903, near Corum, Okla., and passed from this life at Osceola, Iowa, Sept. 30, 1922, aged 19 years, 8 months and 1 day.

The early years of his life were spent at Corum, Okla. His parents moved to the vicinity of Murray, Iowa, in the spring of 1918 and two years later to their farm near Truro, where they now reside. William was a senior in the Truro high school and would have completed his course this year. He was a very studious boy, though handicapped by weak eyes, and was interested in all the activities of the school. He was early interested in religion and united with the M. E. church in Oklahoma, transferring his membership to the Truro M. E. church when moving here to live. He was also a member of the high school Y.M.C.A. and valued his association with that organization very highly.

In August , he attended the military training camp at Ft. Snelling, Minn., from which he returned with acute eye trouble and neuritis complications which caused him intense suffering and placed him under the doctor's care.

William was a studious ambitious boy, interested in his home, school and friends. His untimely death has placed us all in deep sorrow. He will be missed in his home and in his school.
