Nov 19, 1969MRS. EARL OSBORN Dies at 81 years
Mrs. Sallie Osborn of Winterset died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1969, at the Horton Nursing home here. She was 81 years of age.
Mrs Osborn was a life-long resident of Madison county, except for nine years spent in Clarke county. She was born at Barney on Sept. 15, 1888. On Jan 23, 1909, she was married to Earl Osborn. His death occurred in 1963.
Surviving are five children; Homer and Maxel Osborn of Winterset, Mrs. Hallie Davis of Osceola, Mrs. Vera Igo of Omaha, and Mrs. Opal Ahart of Spirit Lake, 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Flora Chapman of Sioux City.
Two infant daughters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held this Wednesday from the Collins Fuenral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. John C. Porath of Indianola. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
