Wednesday, November 12, 1969MARVIN BAKER Dies at 49 years
Marvin P. Baker of Winterset, a life-time resident of Madison county, died Saturday Nov. 8, 1969, at Veterans hospital in Des Moines. He was 49 years of age.
Mr. Baker was born in Madison county, Jan. 6, 1920, a son of Rufus and Alta Mason Baker. His life was spent in farming. He served in the U. S. armed forces during World War II, and was a member of Green-Rogers post of the American Legion.
Nearest surviving relative is a half-sister, Mrs. Hazel Cleveland of Winterset.
Funeral services were held this Wednesday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. H. E. Borum, pastor of the First Baptist church of Winterset. Burial was made in the North McDonald cemetery.
