JERRY LEO OGLESBEE

Jerry Leo Oglesbee, son of N. W. and Rosa Oglesbee was born in Scott townshp, Madison county, Iowa, Oct. 11, 1898, and departed this life on December 2, 1925 at the age of 27 years, 1 month and 21 days. That he died in the same home and in the same room where he was born, could not be said of many others.

He grew to manhood in the Elm Grove neighborhood and was married to Myrtle Mildred Hess, February 7, 1923. To this union was given one son, Morris Lyle.

Jerry was the third in a family of 11 children. Besides his devoted wife and son, there are left to mourn his loss his father, mother, 4 brothers and 3 sisters, Mrs. Nellie King, Harry, Everett, Gladys, Versie, Noah and Harley Oglesbee. Also many other friends and relatives.

The deceased had been failing in health about three years and had tried several physicians hoping that his good health might be restored, was confined to his bed about three weeks prior to his death. All was done that could be to give relief and comfort during his illness. Many freinds join in their sympathy for the bereaved relatives.

Funeral services were held at the Elm Grove church Friday, Dec. 4th at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. C. L. Thomas, the local pastor. Interment was made at the King cemetery.
