Saturday, July 28, 1900Died—On Tuesday morning, July 24, 1900, Byron C., son of C. B. Johnson, at his home in Earlham. Byron was born May 6, 1899, and during the little more than a year he was permitted to remain here had spread sunshine throughout the home made desolate by the death of the mother shortly after his birth. He was sick only a few days and medical skill and tender care availed nothing and early Tuesday morning his spirit took flight to whence it came.
The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon from the home, conducted by President A. Rosenberger of Penn College, assisted by Rev. J. W. Stribling and Miss Nelle E. Wood. He was laid to rest in the Earlham cemetery beside his mother.
