HARRY BLACK Dies at 91

Harry Black of Winterset, one of this community's most widely known residents, died Tuesday, December 5, 1972, at Memorial Hospital here. He was 91 years of age.

Mr. Black was a salesman for the Fuller Brush Company in this area for more than 40 years.

He was a life-long resident of Madison County. He was born here April 5, 1881, a son of James and Charlotte Shaffer Black. He was married December 25, 1907 to Willanna Campbell, whose death occurred in 1950. In 1951 he was married to Clara A. Williams, who survives him.

Mr. Black was a 50-year member of the Knights of Pythias.

In addition to his wife, he leaves a step-son, Roger J. Williams of Jessup; three step-daughters, Mrs. Leola Temeyer and Mrs. Carol Temeyer, both of Jessup and Mrs. Frances Ramsey of Des Moines; and 19 grandchildren.

He also leaves five nieces: Mrs. Maude Kallusch, Mrs. Lola Pratt and Clara Hardy, all of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Mada Everts and Lena McGee, both of California.

His three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Lon Reising. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
