AMANDA J. WEBSTER

Mrs. William O. Webster, for many years a resident of Winterset, died at the home of her son, Waldo P. Webster, at Sibley. Mrs. Webster came to Winterset with her husband in 1856. Mr. And Mrs. Webster lived in their residence where the library now stands until after the death of Mr. Webster, which occurred about 1890. She has lived with her son the past ten years.

The funeral was at Sibley. The body was brought to Winterset for burial.

Coordinator's note: Her maiden name is taken from her Palmer, Massachusetts marriage record. The town cemetery has about 200 burials with variants of the name Squire, about evenly distributed between Squire, Squier and Squires. There is only one Squiers.
