The little six weeks old girl of Charley Yates and wife was accidentally smothered to death in its heavy clothing Saturday morning while its parents were on their way to spend Christmas with Mrs. Yates' parents, Fred Lutz and wife. The little one had been wrapped too close to keep out the cold air, and when it was uncovered at Wick it was dead. The case is a peculiarly sad one and the child's parents are prostrated with grief. The funeral occurred at the house Tuesday morning at ten o'clock and a large number of friends were present to express their grief and sympathy.
