Funeral Rites Were Held at DeSoto Methodist Church Last Thursday
Van Meter- (special) - Funeral services for John Wesley Cutshall, for most of his life a resident of near Van Meter, were held from the DeSoto Methodist church last Thursday. Burial was made in the Oakland Cemetery at DeSoto.
Mr. Cutshall had died June 19 at Klemme, where he had moved March 1 of this year. He was 65 years of age.
He was born on a farm near Van Meter on Nov. 30, 1873, the son of Samuel and Sarah Cutshall. His boyhood days were spent on that farm, and he became a member of the Van Meter Methodist church at an early age.
He was married, March 24, 1909, to Ida M. Green at Farnhamville. They lived for a time south of Van Meter, later moving to a farm west of De Soto where they spent 25 years. Early this year he had moved with his family to an 800 acre farm near Klemme.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Emma and Susie; three sons, Homer, Forrest and Leo Cutshall; two brothers, George and Perry Cutshall of Van Meter; and a sister, Mrs. Janey Sheets of Webster City.
