Death of C. P. Ladd

Funeral services for Christopher Pleasant Ladd, of Linden were held Monday at Linden at one o'clock. He was a brother of J. J. Ladd of Winterset and J. W. Ladd of Earlham. He leaves another brother H. B. Ladd of Omaha, and two sisters, Mrs.Rose Starr and Mrs. Mary Monk, both of Winterset.

Mr. Ladd had been in failing health for several years and suffered a stroke Saturday afternoon passing away that evening.

He was born in Indiana, September 13, 1864, the son of Benton and Martha Ladd, coming to Iowa when a small boy. When a young man he left Winterset, moving to a farm east of Linden. In 1890 he was united in marriage to Henrietta Stonehocher, who preceded him in death fourteen years ago.
