RACHEL VILLIARS

Mrs. Rachel Villiars, wife of Francis Villiars, residing in the northeast part of the city, died Monday morning at six o'clock after a lingering illness lasting three years.

Mrs. Villiars was born in Fayette county, Pennsylvania, January 8, 1834. She was first married to John Stickel and to them were born two children, both of whom are dead. She was married to Francis Villiars in 1858, and to them five children were born, four of whom survive, Jacob at Elwell, Iowa, Frank, Mary Stephenson and Ida Villiars, all of Winterset.

The funeral services were held from the residence Wednesday morning and were conducted by Rev. E. E. Bennett of the Christian church. Interment was in the Winterset cemetery.
