Clell E. Camp, 89, died April 26, 2009, at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola. Visitation will be open today (Wednesday, April 29), with family greeting friends from 6–8 p.m. Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Kale Funeral Home. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Clarke County. Memorial contributions in Clell’s name may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa in Osceola.

Clell Camp was born Oct. 30, 1919, in Clarke County to Ephraim J. and Clara Kay (Kirk) Camp. He moved from Clarke County to Madison County with his family in 1929 and received his education in the rural schools in Clarke and Madison counties. His marriage to Evelyn May Morrow took place Dec. 20, 1941, in Bethany, Mo. Clell was a farmer. He was a 50-year member of Fern Lodge 558 A.F. & A.M. of Lorimor and in later years transferred to Model Lodge. Other memberships included the N.F.O., Farm Bureau and Madison Chapel Church, where he served as secretary for several years. He also was the Clarke County Weed Commissioner for 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife; a sister, Burla Stephenson; and three brothers, Leonard, Benjamin and Clifford Camp.

He is survived by one son, Jim Camp of Peru; one daughter, Marsha Milner of Pleasantville; a sister, Waunita Siefkas of Murray; and four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
