St. Charles

Died, at her home 3 miles northwest of St. Charles, March 8th, Mrs. Mary Martin, age 72 years and 6 days, the cause of her death being hemorrhage of the lungs. Five children survive her, all being by her bedside during her sickness and death.

She joined the Christian church at the age of 22 years, remaining in that church until 7 years ago when she joined the United Brethren. The remains were interred in the St. Charles cemetery beside her husband who preceded her to the grave 34 years ago.
