The family of Joseph McDonald, of Douglas township, has met with a sad bereavement in the death of their daughter, Maggie, last Saturday with diphtheria. The rest of the children are sick with the disease but are now considered out of danger.

On Saturday of last week the home of Joseph McDonald was saddened by the death of little Maggie, diphtheria claiming her as its victim. Maggie was an exceptionally bright and lovable child, and will be sadly missed in her home, also in the school and Sabbath school, of which she was a regular attendant.
The friends extend to Mr. McDonald and family their heartfelt sympathy.

The family of J. F. McDonald in Douglas township have the diphtheria. A daughter of 14 years was buried Saturday last. Two other children are sick with the disease.

The entire family of Joseph McDonald, of Douglas township, a brother of Francis McDonald whose death was recently reported by the News, is sick with the diphtheria. There are ten children in the family and out of the ten there six are sick with the disease. One of the children, a girl of about fourteen years old died, Friday, and was buried the following day. The rest of the children are improving. A rigid quarantine is maintained.
