Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Pyle, one of the older resident of this community, died in Des Moines, June 14th, 1906, aged 65 years, 1 month and 6 days.
She was born in West Virginia, May 7, 1841. When about 8 or 9 years of age she removed with her parents to Illinois. She was married in that state to Snyder Pyle in the year of 1861. Her husband died several years ago.
They were the parents of six children, five of whom are living, four sons and one daughter. All of these were present at the funeral. They are Henry Pyle, of Des Moines; Allen Pyle, of Des Moines; John Pyle of Stuart; W. V. Pyle and Mrs. Frank Doty of Macksbug.
The funeral services were held at the home of Frank Doty, Sunday at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Trueblood. Mrs. Pyle has been a christian all her life, and a member of the M. E. church ever since her childhood.
Note: Burial was in the Moon Cemetery
