August 1920James Howard Hutcheson, son of Wm. And Mary Hutcheson, was born September 15th, 1854 in Delaware County, Ind. Here he grew to manhood, coming with his parents to Iowa in 1880.
He was united in matrimony to Emma Weikle in 1880, eight children being born to this union. Five have preceded him in death, those surviving being Winton, John and Charles.
He moved with his family to Earlham about 1893, residing here over 20 years and being identified with the business interests of the town and its growth in the capacity of harness maker. On March 19, 1910 he united with the Friends Church at Earlham, remaining a member thereof until the time of his death.
In 1915 he removed to Farlin, Iowa to engage in the general merchandise business, and this was the place of his residence when he died August 23 aged 66 years, 1 month and 8 days. He leaves to mourn his loss three sons, two brothers and three sisters, besides many other relatives and a large number of friends.
