Donald W. McDonald, age 89, formerly of Torrington, Wyoming, died at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines on Sunday January 4, 2009. No services are planned, however a visitation will be held at Peace Lutheran Church in rural Adel on Wednesday January 7, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial of cremains will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Morrill, Nebraska at a later date.
Donald was a machinist at Sunstrand Co. in Englewood, Colorado, making parts for aircraft. He is survived by his wife Virginia McDonald of Earlham; son Larry McDonald (Barbara) of Earlham; son Jerry (Suzy) of Valdez, AK; sister Martha Belle of Shawnee, OK; sister June Timm (Bob) of Marietta, CA; sister Deloras Thomas (Jr.) of Bayard, NE, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
