Harold L. Wickham, 81, of Winterset and formerly of Mitchellville, died Nov. 8, 2008, at Winterset Care Center North.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at the United Methodist Church in Zearing. Burial of the cremated remains will follow at the Zearing Cemetery, Lincoln Township, with military honors. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset.
Harold Wickham was born May 31, 1927, to Howard and Cleo (Cox) Wickham of Zearing. He attended Zearing High School and served in the United States Navy. Harold farmed in rural Zearing for a time and was later involved in sales, retiring from John Deere Implement in Colfax. He was a member of the American Legion and attended the Mitchellville Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Wickham.
He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Burrell of Tularosa, N.M., and Roxanne Rowe of Helena, Mont.; three sisters, Margaret Turner of Zearing, Virginia Banta of San Diego, Calif., and Carole Bennett of Honesdale, Pa.; and four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
