Earlham Echo – May 28, 1970

Detlef Henry Passick, son of Otto and Sophia Passick, was born November 22, 1886 in Clinton, Iowa and passed away at Maple Lin Manor in Earlham, on May 22, 1970 at the age of 83 years and 6 months, following a 14 month illness.

He was united in marriage to Lena Lamp on January 25, 1911. To this union were born six children: Herbert of Sac City, Elmer of Casey, Arlo of Des Moines, Orpha Derrickson of Earlham and Phyllis (Mrs. Rolland Michael) of Granger.

A daughter Iona, his wife Lena and two grandchildren preceded him in death.

In January 1956, he married Jessie Renshaw of Earlham.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, Jessie; five children, 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters.
