Services Held for Elsie Randall
Elsie Randall, 86, who has made her home with a niece in Ogden for the past few years, passed away Sunday, July 27. Miss Randall lived on a farm near Earlham before moving to Ogden.
Last rites were conducted at Evans Funeral Home in Earlham Wednesday morning, July 30, by Rev. John Baxter. Berneita Patience provided the music for the service.
Casket bearers were Walter Mapes, Otha Cook, Clifford Rater, Fred Biesel, Al Palmer and Russell Johnson. Interment was in the De Soto cemetery.

Obituary
Services for Elsie Ann Randall, a former Earlham resident, were held Wednesday, July 30, at Evans Funeral Home in Earlham, with the Rev. John Baxter in charge. The song, “The Old Rugged Cross,” was sung by Mrs. Berneita Patience and “In The Garden” was sung by Mrs. Walter Mapes and Mrs. Leo Conrad.
Bearers were Clifford Rater, Walter Mapes, Fred Biesel, Otha Cook, Russell Johnson and Al Palmer.
Elsie Ann Randall, the daughter of Simeon and Esther Lewis Randall, was born in Garden Park, Illinois September 19, 1882. On March 4, 1885 the family moved to a farm near De Soto, Iowa where they lived for 20 years. In 1905 they moved to a farm 3 ½ miles northwest of Earlham, where she lived for 58 years. After the death of her brother Arthur in 1963 she moved to Ogden.
She entered the Boone County hospital on June 24 where she passed away July 27 at the age 0f 86 years, 10 months and 8 days. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
She is survived by a niece, Mrs. Marie Plath of Ogden, and two nephews, Wilbur Randall of San Bernardino, California and William Randall of Des Moines.
Interment was in De Soto cemetery.
