Services Held For Roy Nellis

Mr. Roy Nellis of Des Moines passed away Tuesday, September 30, at the Des Moines General hospital after a year’s illness. Roy was a brother of Earl and Merl Nellis. Brothers Clint and Ward preceded him in death.

Roy was born in Wilton Junction and moved with the family to a farm in Penn township in 1896. He farmed at Earlham and Ankeny, then moved to Des Moines and was a self-employed builder. He was a member of the First Friends church of Des Moines. Funeral was at Dunn’s Funeral Home with burial in Resthaven Cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Nellis, Mr. and Mrs. Al Palmer, Mr. and Mrs. Merl Nellis, Mr. and Mrs. Max Arnburg attended the funeral. Other relatives and friends from Earlham, Winterset and Des Moines attended.
