Sophia R. Drake, an aunt of Mrs. H. J. B. Cummings died in Des Moines on Saturday, March 12th, the eighty-fifth anniversary of her birth. Funeral services were held in Des Moines on Sunday at the home of her son-in-law, Milo Ward, a former resident of Winterset. The remains were brought here for burial on Monday. Mrs. Drake was well known here and had many warm friends who will cherish the memory of her cheerful disposition and the manifestations of an upright Christian character.
